Okay, so I’m sure many of you don’t really care that much about what’s taking everything so long as what we’re doing, so I’ve included the torrent links for things visible at the top here for you. We’re releasing Acchi Kocchi vol 3, Natsuiro Kiseki vol 3, and the NCOP and NCED for Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai.

Finally, after tons of :effort: has been exhausted, we’re proud to bring you Acchi Kocchi Volume 2. You know, if this show had plot, I could talk about it. And if it wasn’t a TSing nightmare, we could release it faster. And if AIC didn’t make me hate life, I might’ve tried subbing Kotoura-san somewhere. But sadly, those are all the case, so you’ll have to live with this. We will finish this show… eventually. It’ll just take a while. For now, enjoy volume 2 while you wait for volume 3 of both of the shows we’ve released so far!

All right, so here’s Natsuiro Kiseki volume 2. Not much to say here in the way of show-relevant ranting, as I edited this long enough ago to not really remember these episodes much (\me glares at Fyurie for stalling the typesetting). Acchi Kocchi volume 2 should be the next thing you see from us, as it’s mostly finished now. And Acchi Kocchi volume 3 is at QC now, so it shouldn’t be too much later. So, you know how Acchi Kocchi has been delayed by us needing a timer badly (and totally not because I’ve been stalling the typesetting like crazy)? Well, guess what group is willing to take care of timing for this other project? Visit our joint partners over at www.broken-subs.com and be sure to thank them for their help in getting this out! And while you’re there, congratulate them on finally finishing Tari Tari. I was finally able to finish that damn show after waiting ages for them to release the final episode. Btw, AK is coming along. Volume 2 is at QC now, and timing and typesetting work for volume 3 are under way.

Hey everyone.
It’s probably quite obvious now that we’re moving quite slowly with our projects. A leading factor in this is our miniscule team of active members. We’re outsourcing staff from other groups for now to try and keep projects moving, but we’re looking to add more members to the Sugoi team.
Because of our numbers being as they are, we’re not turning away any specific positions at this time. We have a particular need for an Encoder though, and a TL/TLC certainly would be helpful for future works that may include untranslated extras.
As we are a BD group, we would prefer to hire experienced staff, so if you have any examples of past work, please have them ready to send to us in some way. If not, we have test scripts set up for most positions, so feel free to ask for those.
There are special cases for certain positions (Encoders and TL/TLCs specifically. Typesetters to a lesser extent), so PM Fyurie or HeavenlyArmed on Rizon for more information regarding that.

So almost a month later and still no release yet. I’m sure you’re all wondering what’s going on.

We should be able to start editing episodes 1 and 2 sometime in the next week. Episodes 3 & 4 shouldn’t be too far behind, but they still need typesetting work done, which we should have completed by the end of this week. Episodes 5 and 6 are currently being encoded. Once that is done, we can start doing work on those as well Again, the encodes for episodes 1 through to 4 are done. Tsumiki’s batch was lacking, but we were expecting that anyway. Typesetting for episodes 1 and 2 is complete. We are currently waiting for those episodes to be timed so we can begin editing work on the scripts. After this, it’s basically just combine everything, QC, mux and release.

Most visitors to this site will have noticed by now that we’ve been very quiet. We figured that by now, we owe people an explanation, so, here it is, in the form of a short status update!

Work should begin on episodes 1 & 2 within the next week, assuming Tsumiki finish on schedule. Episodes 3 & 4 shouldn’t be too far behind, but we’ll post another update regarding that when the time comes.The encodes for episodes 1 through to 4 are done. We’re currently waiting on Tsumiki’s batch scripts to begin with editing and timing. These aren’t too far off (we hope!). Typesetting work has begun.

Hey everyone. Welcome to Sugoi Subs’ official website. We’ve been hard at work setting this all up and getting various things in place for our debut as a BD fansubbing group.
Our mission is to produce and release high quality BD anime for the enjoyment of our visitors.
Our first scheduled release will most likely be the Acchi Kocchi BDs. This isn’t completely confirmed, but it is our first choice show.
Anyway, welcome again to every visitor, and all of the Sugoi Subs staff hope that you’ll enjoy watching our releases. We’ll be working hard on them just for you!
